Light the Night is an annual benefit concert which raises money and awareness for leukaemia research. To date, over $200,000 has been donated to the The Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation - targeting a cure for leukaemia.

In August 2004, Matthew Rennie (pictured right) was diagnosed with leukaemia and spent the next three and a half years fighting this disease with every ounce of his being.  Matt never gave up.  He endured four transplants, radioactive hot shots into his veins, full body radiation, lumber punctures, bone marrow tests, days and months in hospital and many hours in doctors waiting rooms.

Matt was a brave, honest, loyal, gentle and loving young man whose courageous fight and refusal to give into leukaemia, inspired the development of Light the Night.  This inspiration helped drive a team of four people to create and produce a benefit concert that is now in its own right, a must see, on the Australian entertainment calendar.

At the age of 24, Matt lost his battle with leukaemia on 27 October 2007.

Through Light the Night Matthew will continue to inspire and shine...

The past four years have been supported by some of Australia's most talented performers of the music industry, these include Katie Noonan, Anthony Callea, Maggie Kirkpatrick, Lior, The McClymonts, Tim Campbell, Emma Pask, Don Lane, Matthew Newton, Paulini, Rhonda Birchmore, Barry Crocker, David Campbell, Human Nature and iOTA, to name a few.
